Serpentine and black it stands before my eyes
Извилистая и мрачная, она прямо перед моими глазами,
To hell and back it will lead me once more
И однажды она приведёт меня в ад, а затем обратно.
It’s all I have as I stumble in and out of grace
Это всё, что у меня есть, так как я оступился и лишился милости Господа.
I walk through the gardens
Я иду сквозь сады
Of dying light
Гаснущего света,
And cross all the rivers deep and dark as the night
Пересекаю глубокие и тёмные, словно ночь, реки
Searching for reason
В поисках ответа,
Why time would’ve passed us by
Почему время прошло мимо нас.
With every step I take the less
С каждым шагом я всё меньше
I know myself
Узнаю себя.
Every vow I break on my way towards your heart
На пути к твоему сердцу я нарушаю все обещания.
Countless times I’ve prayed for forgiveness
Бесчисленные часы я вымаливал прощение,
But gods just laugh at my face
Но боги лишь смеялись мне в лицо,
And this path remains

Leading me into solitude’s arms

The journey seems endless but

And our night drowns in dawn

Amidst all the tears there’s a smile

That all angels greet with an envious song

One look into stranger’s eyes
